Extremely rare flowers

I stumbled across a wonderful site named scienceray looking for pictures of the legendary Youtan Poluo flower. And oh, did I find them -- as well as information about other unusual blossoms.

Unfortunately, the flower is reminiscent of the transplanted hairs from John Carpenter Presents Body Bags. But a legend of a flower that sprouts from nothing once every 3000 years is pretty interesting...
