Black bean brownies? That’s just wrong.
People who don’t understand proper cooking just don’t get that not all substitutions work well. My personal trainer was shocked when I laughed at his "chocolate chip cookies” that were made with cannellini beans and carob chips. And fake sugar. And applesauce. I tried one once and I couldn’t even swallow it. And I have eaten some strange things! Poor ignorant souls…

Even the color looks bad! They look more like carrot cake, to judge by the picture. And the thought of black beans pureed with coffee(!) in ANY recipe makes me want to hurl.
By the way . . . love the typo in the title!
According to Wikipedia, "Brean is a village and civil parish between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham on Sea in Somerset, England." I wonder how their brownies taste, and whether only black residents can make them?
No, no. “Research” shows that both “black” and “brownies” are tongue-in-cheek references to the soil of Brean, since it is dry, crumbly, and somewhat reddish, akin to carrot cake. The baked goods themselves are tasteless and dry, and require the addition of special ingredients not ordinarily used in baking, such as legumes. So there. ;^)
