Last night I went to the Museum of Fine Art in Boston with friends (occasion: Wednesdays are free) where I saw some very old (from the 1600's) textiles from someone's stately English home. They were beautiful and in excellent condition. I learned about chintz and saw some remarkable metalwork, as well as gorgeous chinoiserie and jappanned objets d’art.
I also viewed a few photography exhibits, including one of Yousuf Karsh's work that included his famous portraits of Winston Churchill, Audrey Hepburn, and Albert Einstein. Then we went out to eat tasty brick oven pizza and enjoy even tastier chitchat. So much fun!
