Bubbles from a 1,000,000-year-old elliptical galaxy pull colder gas outward behind them in the form of the trailing filaments. Some extend in lines from the galaxy center, while others are shaped as horseshoes. Apparently these individual threads appear to stretch about 20,000 light years!
