So I've jumped on the mineral makeup bandwagon. About a month ago, I decided I'd had it with my makeup sliding off, staining my clothes, and generally being a nuisance. I splurged on Bare Minerals (the California-based company that sells on HSN and went so far as to start selling at Target). "Swirl, tap, buff"? You know what I'm talking about. I tested it out at Sephora for one full, hot, sweaty day. And it was awesome! I asked my friend who I trust (since I was hoping it would work and could probably have been talked into buying it) and it really did the job.
Anyway, it's working like a dream. I use it all (except for Warmth, which I think is just too much, particularly for a ruddy-faced chickadee like myself). I had previously bitten the bullet in January and bought Proactiv to try to heal up some older zit-tage and a bad complexion in general, and my face does seem to have lessened in the redness department. But I'm worth it! And I want to look cute for MB (although I'm not entirely convinced that he notices any of this). Of course, it all costs money, which is the annoying part.
However, I was able to pick up a humongous jar (29.6g) of Mineral Veil on eBay for the ridiculous price of $26.05 plus very reasonable shipping ($4.25). For those of you who are not familiar with the sizes, I'll put my fabulous bargain in perspective. The jars in the starter kit are .06 (no, not 6.0,
.06) grams and sell for $15.00 apiece. Haha! I shopped victoriously!
Anyway, it turns out that my sis also uses this product, which leads me to wonder why she never mentioned it to me... I've decided to believe that she felt I didn't need it since I am soooo beautiful as is. Yup, I'll just keep believing that.
